In 2008 An extra pair of hands was a finalist in the Manawatu business awards. The video was filmed for the awards ceremony.

Jane was awarded by Steve Mahary in recognition for being one in ten businesses selected in the Vision Manawatu business acceleration programme.

In May 2009 An extra pair of hands won the best small to medium business at the regional business awards.
